Travel Insurance Reviews for Generali Global Assistance

Generali cancelled my insurance 5 days before departure. No reason given. The only thing good I can say about them is that they refunded my premium immediately.

Since I didn't have a claim, I can't judge satisfaction, but it gave me peace of mind to have it.

Not sure how to review something that I didn’t have to use. I do feel your company policies are less expensive but then I feel the industry is gouging the traveling public. Travel insurance has become totally necessary so we just pay the price.

Thankfully, I did not have to file a claim so I can’t provide information rating the claim process. However, I thought pricing was reasonable for what the plan offered and signing up for the policy was fairly easy. I received prompt communication on how to file a claim if I needed, received necessary contact information, and all the documents I needed outlining my chosen policy.

I haven't checked for available data, but I'm fairly certain most people never file a claim after a vacation. Most people don't get hurt while traveling. I already have adequate health insurance, so I believe additional insurance should be optional.

We didn't need to use the travel insurance, thankfully, but it was reassuring to know we had it if needed. The Generali Global Assistance Preferred plan provides great coverage at a reasonable price.

Since no claim was made (thankfully) it is difficult to assess. But the coverage terms were what I was looking for.
