Trawick International Safe Travels Voyager
Do not use Trawick at all! My baggage was delayed and I filed all documents on time and to the letter. Initially I was told I would hear back in 10 days. Then I was told I would hear back in another 15 business days. Well, another 15 business days have passed. When I called them again, it was as though I was in the wrong. I tried being as polite as possible and then he told me I would hear back in another 30 business days. Along the way, he kept telling me I would receive a status update in an email. I never once have received any emails or updates. Nothing. When I had emailed them, absolutely zero response numbers of time. They said I could go to a website (cbpconnect) to get a status update. When I went there, nothing. And then when I asked on the phone call about it, it says I'm in the system. When I asked I why I wasn't even receiving any updates, he sighed and basically said wait the month.

I think it's all a scam to actually not pay out on an actual valid claim. I submitted airline baggage lost claim forms, boarding passes, filled out Trawick forms, everything. Early and on time and thing.

I am very disappointed in Trawick and in Insuremytrip for even giving them such high ratings when they have been so poor in every aspect of their customer service.

I started filling a claim and,
The process for filling a claim if downright horrific. They make it SO hard that I ended up not finishing it.
I have two more trips booked and had purchased another policy for my upcoming trip. Needless to say, I canceled it .

Our infant got sick while abroad and just couldn't break a fever and wouldn't eat/drink. As much as I didn't want to bring her to the doctor, we did. We had to pay for everything in cash/credit card and hope we would be reimbursed. The process to submit all the receipts/credit card statements was a bit of a hassle, but our claim was reimbursed and I am very satisfied. Actually in retrospect it was easier than dealing with my own health insurance in the USA.

They are impossible to get a hold of when you need them. The emergency service is not very helpful. The claims process is manual (PDF files). I would not recommend them.

It would be difficult to recommend Trawick International. Although they ultimately paid my claim it was a slow and painful process. From losing my claim to misinterpreting it to mixing up currencies to just ignoring it for months on end. They needed to be followed up on at all times. Also, when I was in the hospital they were pretty unresponsive and it took forever to get a guarantee that they would pay the claim, so the hospital would not let me go without paying them myself. Also, they didn't appear to have Spanish speakers - although they said they did - but I had to be go between between the hospital and doctors and the insurance company - and my Spanish is not that good! This is not really an on the ball operation; seemed like a discombobulated start up to me!

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. Please keep in mind that we employ customer advocates who assist customers with the claims process. Many times we can expedite a claim by contacting the insurance company on the customers behalf.

Be careful about deductibles. Make sure they apply the right one. My policy had a different deductible when I had a claim in the US and Trawick applied the wrong deductible. After contacting them, they corrected it right away. Overall, They responded promptly to any communication and followed up to complete the processing of the claims. Good value.
