Unfortunately we are among the few people who actually file a claim on their insurance. While in Latvia at the beginning of our trip my wife had a stroke, which required her to be hospitalized for three days and required us to cancel the bulk of our trip. While in Latvia the insurer was in touch with me and handled the hospital expenses so that I did not have to worry about them. The larger claim was the trip interruption claim, and upon our return the insurer paid our claim in full without any hassle to us. I filed a completed claim form, they contacted our travel agent for some information, and then immediately paid the claim. You could not ask for better service. Thanks HTH.

After many years of travel, and many purchases of insurance at this website, I finally had to fine the claim I had hoped never to file. A few days before our 51 day 1/2 of an around the world cruise, we had to cancel because my mother, who was not traveling with us, fell and broke her hip and we needed to stay home. The claim representative that handled our claim did so in a very professional, timely and competent manner. Within 60 days we had been fully compensated for our claim. At a time of great stress it was a welcome relief.

The "killer" feature in your coverage is that it is good for a year, with a max of 70 days coverage for each individual trip. I will be setting off on another trip in the USA and the coverage is in place. Then in June I will return to Germany for almost two months, and the coverage is in place. Further your pricing seems quite fair when compared to other comparable plans. And I did contact your staff with a couple questions before I set off back in December. My questions were answered politely and in a straight forward way. Thanks.

I purchased this insurance to cover me in Case I became ill while away since my health insurance does not cover expenses out of the country. Well, I did become ill while visiting Costa Rica. The 3 hour stay in the hospital, intravenous treatment and doctors care with prescription for antibiotics came to a total of about $275( 1/20th the cost in the US). HTH Worldwide paid the total cost and I was very happy .

The reason I gave it 4 starts and not 5 was because I had looked up the list of providers in their network ahead of times, but was not able to get an appointment the same day with any of them. So they told me to go to any Dr's office and they would reimburse me later upon submitting bills. I later submitted the Dr's bill and the pharmacy bill, and they reimbursed me for both without problems.

HTH Worldwide provides access to an international provider community. Providers are fully profiled and participate on a direct billing arrangement for covered services. These providers are independent practitioners with extensive medical credentials. We make best efforts to secure an appointment as soon as reasonably possible and are typically successful arranging appointments within 24-48 hours of contact.
We've been extremely satisfied with HTH Worldwide Trip Protector. They were considerably cheaper than other plans (especially from our travel agent) and gave at least as good if not better coverage. We've used them several times, have had to make 2 claims, and hope they will accept us again!
