You must be a ticketed passenger on a Common Carrier.
Additionally, all claims must be verified by the Common Carrier who must certify the delay or misdirection and receipts for the purchases must accompany any claim. "

This plan offers a lengthy list of covered perils for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption, which protects the investment you have made in the trip, and also provides reimbursement for incidents which could occur after departure, such as lost and/or delayed luggage, travel delay, and emergency hospitalization and medical transportation up to the policy limits.
Premiums for comprehensive policies are based largely on the length of the trip, the ages of the travelers, and the cost of the trip. A travel insurance policy is considered to be of good value when the policy premium is 4-10% of the insured trip cost. Thankfully I didn't have to file a claim. However, shortly after booking my vacation to Punta Cana, we decided to change our destination for safety reasons. I contacted HTH and they were gracious enough to modify my plan at no additional cost. I was very impressed.

I did not file a claim with this company. The plan offered good coverage for medical and evacuation, which I consider the most important aspects of foreign travel. I do not recommend this company, however, due to the fact that ten days prior to my trip I received an email stating that I would not be able to access my account on line due to technical difficulties. When I called their customer service I was told that they did not have a date when this problem would be resolved. I can understand a computer glitch, but one that lasts several weeks is not acceptable, especially when that glitch occurs when my trip was scheduled. I had paid the premium several months ago and it was not refundable, so I went on my trip with some trepidation. Insurance is supposed to take the doubt out of travel leaving one to enjoy the trip.

Thank you for your feedback. The HTH Worldwide Trip Protector plan
does offer good coverage for medical and evacuation, but we regret that you were unable to access your account prior to your departure date.
However, HTH Assistance would still have provided you with Travel Assistance Services if you had called 877-865-5979 or 610-254-8771 or emailed [email protected].
The plan I selected was very good for the cost & peace of mind traveling abroad. While I did not have to use the insurance, I did use the online access to check out local medical facilities in case I needed one since I had a minor mishap. Fortunately I did not need to use the facility but it was relatively easy to obtain the information & location of local facility covered by the plan.

All of my extra costs (airfare changes, etc) happened before the trip started so the insurance ended up being "useless" to me. I was glad to have coverage if it were needed.

However, HTH Worldwide Trip Protector would have provided you with 24 hour emergency assistance and claims service if needed.

Review based on NOT having to use any of the coverage because my trip was fine and sound. However, I did have peace of mind knowing that I had insurance. Price was good for what I needed.
