I can't evaluate their claim response, since I didn't need to file. I really liked the ID cards and luggage tags included in the package. I printed them, covered them in clear tape, and carried/attached to our bags. This is a small "benefit" they provided to everyone, not just those with a claimable loss.

i just like the simplicity of the plan that I chose (24/7 AD&D).
Don't need medical, or lost baggage, or trip cancellation, etc.
Plus the Business Equipment Choice was a perfect addition for peace of mind.

I was very happy with purchasing a "Cancel For Any Reason" April Travel Protection plan.
I got injured before our ski trip and was limping around. I knew I couldn't enjoy skiing as initially planned because I could hardly walk. I contacted April insurance, who sent me a claim form to fill out. When I had questions about how to answer certain questions, April was happy to assist me in filling out the form. The insurance process went smoothly and I received the refund (75% of the trip cost, as was stated in my contract.) They do take about thirty days to process this, but I felt it was reasonable. (I did send them all my trip reservation information (emails) and the doctor's physical therapy paper for my injury, but since it was a cancel for any reason it might have worked without the doctor's info.)

My flight with my two grandchildren was delayed first 4 then 5 hours. I called April to see if we were covered in any way for food, change of flight or in case of further delay etc. I was given another number to call three different times and transferred once. I gave up it was taking to much time calling and being put on hold. I had two children with me. When we came home from our vacation about four days later a call came from April. A voice mail said, I'm calling regarding some problems you had in your travel. I'll be sending you a claim form. We're looking forward to hearing from you. They didn't hear from me and never will again. I had my flight changed and flew into another airport since they weren't even sure it would be only five hours. April was of NO help whatsoever.
