The insuremytrip website was very useful in finding the best plan to suit my needs. I selected the benefits that were important to me to filter the available plans and then picked the one with the lowest price that had decent reviews. We had to cancel our trip due to my wife's illness. The claims process was clear and straight-forward. The Confirmation of Coverage included a link to file a claim. I filled out the web page, which generated an email to me with the claims form attached, as well as clear instructions and a 6-item checklist of items they needed. I had the choice of emailing the documents, uploading them, or mailing them. I chose email. When I emailed the final document on the list (which needed to filled out and signed by a doctor, so it took a week or so), I asked them to keep me apprised of the status of my claim. I didn't hear anything other than an automated response saying they had received my email, so after 5 days I called. It didn't take too long to get through to a live person. They told me it can take up to 15 days to process the claim. Three days later (8 days after I emailed the last document), I received an email saying the claim was approved and payment would be by EFT to my bank. Within a few days, I received notice from my bank that the deposit had been made. I'm quite happy with the whole experience.

After I filed the claim they responded very quickly with a check. The only thing I didn't like was there was no interim correspondence such as they had received the claim, etc. They denied part of the claim but never sent a letter stating why. However, when I emailed them asking for a reason they reviewed it again and sent an additional check.

I'm more than satisfied. I had a dental problem overseas and they reimbursed me every penny I had spend. Very nice personnel and business to deal with. I will strongly recommended.

Three days before our trip to the Galapagos, my brother-in-law passed away. The cruise company refunded our cruise, but we could not use it for a Galapagos trip...AND we had to take one cruise. In other words, if the Galapagos trip cost $6K and we decided to take a trip for $4K, we would lose the $2K. I was instructed to submit the cruise vouchers to the insurance company--they dealt with Celebrity Cruises--and we received a check for the full amount. The trip was very expensive. We were SO grateful we had the insurance. They processed the claim quickly and it was resolved and behind us. Will use them from now on on every trip we book.
